Bookings

An available time is not a confirmed booking.

Separate opening hours, closures, capacity and booking states so your team and customers share a clear view of the schedule.

Set the rules before offering a time

Opening hours alone do not define availability. Closures, simultaneous capacity and the interval between bookings matter too.

Laney uses these rules for customer time selection and operational booking management. Start by checking the rules for the relevant location or resource.

Distinguish requests from confirmation

A customer selecting a time and submitting a request is different from your team confirming the booking. Review pending requests and confirm them through your operating process.

Customer updates should reflect that state. For approval-based channels, check template approval, required variables and sending conditions.

Keep the record through changes and outcomes

When a booking changes, recheck capacity and closures. After the scheduled visit, record the actual outcome so it can inform later conversations.

Define what your team checks and when, rather than assuming every state is updated automatically.
