Reservation management

Manage Reservation creation, changes, cancellation and visit status. Configure bookable times and capacity through Availability Rules.

Acceptance

Reconcile availability rules and resulting bookings, including changes and cancellations.

Boundary

Availability and booking share one acceptance flow. Resource and time rules are configuration, not separate value propositions.

Set reservable hours and capacity

[blocked]

Check the organization’s time zone and weekday hours.

Starting conditions and inputs

Specify hours, capacity and exception dates.

Values for this task

entry_url, organization_id, timezone, rules, test_dates, start_time, end_time, capacity, availability_url

Command sequence

6Outside browserThe operator verifies blackout dates and external calendar scope.
7openAvailability for the test date
8get textCompare expected available and excluded slots and capacity.

Check the result

Results account for capacity, existing bookings and closures.

Resuming after interruption

Read the same IDs again. Preserve correct settings and update only differences.

[blocked]

Set hours and time zone

Check the organization’s time zone and weekday hours. Set start, end, and suggestion interval in hours. Missing hours can produce no suggested times; this does not mean unrestricted availability.

[blocked]

Set capacity and closures

Use block for closures, capacity for concurrent limits, and gap for spacing. Scope staff or equipment rules with the corresponding reservation custom field. Display order is not rule precedence.

[blocked]

Define change rules

Define when customers and staff can change or cancel bookings. Availability rules do not establish every cancellation policy. Review existing reservations for conflicts after changes.

[blocked]

Test available times

Test inside and outside opening hours, closures, and capacity boundaries. Rules are checked again when saving. Cancelled, no-show, and completed reservations are excluded from capacity and spacing calculations.

Create, change, and cancel reservations

[blocked]

Select the customer and branch in Reservations, then check an available start time.

Starting conditions and inputs

Verify the customer, timezone and current availability.

Values for this task

entry_url, customer_id, reservation_id, starts_at, change_values, reservation_purpose

Command sequence

click "$confirm_reservation" && snapshot -i

3fill $purpose_inputReservation purpose input
4click $confirm_reservationConfirm the reservation request
5get textRead this reservation ID, customer and time.
6Outside browserFor rescheduling or cancellation, change the original reservation. Do not create a replacement record.
7reloadReload the same reservation record.
8get textCompare reservation ID, time and final state. Cancellation does not imply a payment refund.

Check the result

Customer, time and status persist; external synchronization is checked separately.

Resuming after interruption

Check the original request ID and outcome first. Do not resubmit while its result remains unknown.

[blocked]

Create the reservation

Select the customer and branch in Reservations, then check an available start time. Enter reservation-specific custom fields. Search existing customers before creating another profile.

[blocked]

Change time or capacity

Open the reservation and enter the new date and time. Recheck availability when changing capacity or scoped staff. A displayed time can conflict by the time you save; inspect the save result.

[blocked]

Cancel the reservation

Check the customer and time before changing status to cancelled. Confirm the selection when handling several reservations at once. Cancelling a reservation does not refund its linked purchase.

[blocked]

Verify the saved result

Reopen the calendar and record to compare time, customer, and status. If using an external calendar, check its event too. Mark or remove test reservations so they do not affect operating metrics.

Diagnose missing or incorrect available times

[blocked]

Compare dates, time zones, and branches between customer and staff screens.

Starting conditions and inputs

Identify the disputed date and expected time.

Values for this task

entry_url, organization_id, date, timezone, expected_slot, test_date, availability_rules_url, availability_url

Command sequence

text
open "$entry_url" && snapshot -i
fill "$reservation_date" "$test_date" && snapshot -i
get text body
open "$availability_rules_url" && snapshot -i
get text body
# Outside browser: The operator corrects the identified rule or external event.

#Command / refTarget and verification
1fill $reservation_dateAffected reservation-date input
2get textRead organization, customer and visible availability.
3openRules applying to that date
4get textCompare time zone, blackouts, capacity and conflicting events.
5Outside browserThe operator corrects the identified rule or external event.
6openAvailability with the original query conditions
7get textCompare the unchanged query result with expected slots.

Check the result

The discrepancy is resolved or assigned with specific external-calendar evidence.

Resuming after interruption

Read the same source IDs again. Check organization and time range before treating an empty result as missing data.

[blocked]

Check dates and time zones

Compare dates, time zones, and branches between customer and staff screens. Around midnight, check the stored timestamp against the display time zone.

[blocked]

Check hours and closures

Check the weekday hours rule and overlapping block intervals. Closures include their start and exclude their end. Distinguish missing hours from a closure blocking an otherwise open period.

[blocked]

Check capacity and existing bookings

Inspect existing reservations and capacity and gap values within the same scope. Compare reservation staff or equipment fields with the rule’s scope key. Changing display order does not resolve a conflict.

[blocked]

Check external calendars

For external calendars, check the connected account, calendar, and synchronization direction. Editing an external event does not necessarily edit the Laney reservation. Recheck available times and test saving after correction.
